Another enjoyable dragon story. More and more human females are bonding with the dragons. While it’s the same story as Kael and Dakh, Emma’s situation is a bit different. I loved how Emma initiated contact with Zohr to create communication with him and help him escape. He wins her over (because, hello, Drakoni men are as wonderful as Blue Barbarians.) From the author’s comments these stories are going to be more and more layered as we learn more about the world they’ve fallen into. I’ve felt sorry for the female Drakoni from the start, but after reading Emma’s story, I really hate what’s happening to them. I hope Ruby has a plan to mate them with human males.

I’m afraid we haven’t seen the last of Azar.
